ABS is copolymerized by styrene, acrylonitrile and butadiene, with better resistance to heat and solvent than HIPS, and with luster. With interaction of PS molecular chain strengthened by the strong nitrile polarity, its impact strength, tensile strength and surface hardness of plastics are all better than those of HIPS. Generally, the higher acrylonitrile content, the better its stiffness and resistance to heat and solvent, but the poorer its fluidity and the plastics underpainting turns yellowish, and its shows perfect mechanical properties and dimension stability during injection mold. Therefore， ABS resin can serve as an excellent engineering plastic.
